Michelle M. Beckles

Michelle M. Beckles specializes in commercial contracts, public and international law issues and risk management together with associated policies and procedures. She has a particular focus on climate change, energy and resources sector, just transition, governance and other Environmental, Social and Governance concepts as they impact on law.

Michelle has broad experience preparing, advising on and managing construction, Software-as-a-Service and custodian contracts including managing disputes. Other transactional work includes negotiating and drafting leases, employment contracts, memorandum of understanding, confidentiality agreements and providing estate planning services such as wills and power of attorney.

As part of her regulatory compliance and advisory work, Michelle has experience in governance, education, immigration, public tender, intellectual property, industrial relations, data protection and finance.

Since becoming qualified in Trinidad and Tobago in 2001, Michelle appeared in court matters on behalf of the State and advised government agencies. She has a thorough grasp of the importance of law in advancing society and practical experience in meeting the opportunities for growth within contemporary challenges.
